DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Due to false information, police in Grand Prairie issued an Amber Alert for a child that was not actually missing. In fact, the child does not even exist.
According to police, a North Texas woman falsely reported that her 10-month old baby was inside her car when it was stolen, so that officers would work fast to find the car. Police confirmed that Margarita Levrie’s car was stolen but there was no child involved. Police said the woman does not even have a 10-month-old child.
The Amber Alert issued on Saturday, was later canceled. The woman was arrested, charged with making a false police report. Police have not located her car.
