DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A baby giraffe at the Dallas Zoo was officially introduced to the public Thursday.
‘Witten’ the calf was named after recently retired Dallas Cowboys Tight End Jason Witten. Zoo keepers said the baby is one of the most energetic calves they’ve seen. Witten has gained more than 50 pounds in under a month and weighs 185 at nearly 6 feet tall.
According to the Dallas Zoo, Witten will most likely be out on Fridays, Sundays and typically just one weekday for now.
