DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — When the city of Dallas contracted a road resurfacing company to do street repairs in Oak Cliff the company was expected to do the entire road but they didn’t. Not quite.
WFAA contacted the contractor, Viking Construction, Inc., and was told some residents left their cars on Brooklyndell and Ivandell roads and as a result the slurry crew had no choice but to work around them.
The city says it sent notices to people living in the area informing them of the scheduled work and to keep their cars off the street but some residents say they didn’t get a notice. Some local citizens are upset about what they consider to be a shoddy job. A representative with Viking Construction said it was standard practice and that their crews will return to finish the work at no extra charge to the city.
