DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – For 13 years, the organization ‘Children at Risk’ has ranked public schools in Texas.

The organization researched and ranked 219 public high schools from nine area counties of North Texas. The School of Science and Engineering (Dallas ISD) ranked first, continuing its collective excellence among students and teachers. William B. Travis Academy/Vanguard for the Academically Talented and Gifted ranks first in both the elementary and middle school categories.

“Helping students achieve success is at the top of the list for many schools in North Texas,” said Dr. Bob Sanborn, president and CEO of Children at Risk. “We are encouraged by the new schools that attained an A or B ranking and hope many more will achieve this high level of education which helps to ensure our children are prepared for their futures.”
