NFL Draft Kicks Off Tonight in Arlington

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) — The NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night in Arlington.

It’s the first ever NFL Draft held in North Texas, bringing dozens of high profile college football players to town, as well as football fans from all across the country.

“We’re in Texas, so everything needs to be bigger, and everything needs to be better,” said Dallas Cowboys Chief Branding Officer Charlotte Jones-Anderson. “And that includes the set-up and hopefully the crowd and the people.”

Those who purchased tickets have access to a variety family-friendly events during the event, which runs through Saturday.

The Cowboys have the 19th pick in the first round, which consists of 32 picks. They have 10 picks in total, though that could change depending on trades.

“We are excited with the Dallas Cowboys,” Jones-Anderson said. “But what’s so important is that anyone who is a fan of the game at any level will want to come be a part of this draft.”

Jones-Anderson added: “The people here in our community have gone above and beyond to not only welcome the NFL, but to execute and make this happen.”
