Poor Air Quality in Texas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) –  The Texas Department of Transportation is concerned about the air quality in Texas, reporting that cars and trucks in Dallas / Fort Worth are not meeting federal air quality standards.

Tex Dot reports emissions from cars and trucks make up 50% of air pollution in some areas of the state. Levels in Dallas/Fort Worth are too high.  Over the weekend the Texas Department of Transportation unveiled it’s ‘Drive Clean Texas Campaign’, which asks drivers to do their part to improve and protect the cities’ air quality.

Regular maintenance and changes in driving habits can significantly reduce emissions that contribute to air pollution. To learn more log on to www.drivecleantexas.org.
