
DALLAS(WBAP/KLIF)- Drivers in north Texas can thank rising tensions in Syria and increased oil demand for a 10 cent increase for a gallon of gas within the last week.
Patrick DeHaan, Petroleum Analyst with www.gasbuddy.com says he expects the price to continue to rise before a correction in June.
“There is always seasonality to gas prices as well with refineries doing maintenance and switching gasoline to a more expensive summer blend,” according to DeHaan.
AAA of Texas says the national average is the highest its been in almost three years.
