FORT WORTH(WBAP/KLIF)- TCU is hoping that a planned hotel on campus will attract more visitors to the private university.
The hotel is planned for the East end of campus along Berry street with the board of trustees approving the idea Friday.
The university will lease the land for 50 years and TCU chancellor Victor Boschini says the hotel, which must meet TCU requirements for exterior design, will include a standalone restaurant.
University leaders may look to an NFL great for perspective on the new hotel. Former TCU running back Ladanian Tomlinson, who spent many days in hotels during his player career, was appointed to the board of trustees also on Friday.
