Dallas Family is Shocked to Learn Their Mother’s Remains Were Likely Sold, Not Cremated

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The body of a Dallas woman thought to be cremated was likely sold without the family’s permission according to an FBI investigation.  Kayla Lyon lost her mother in February 2017 after complicatons from a fall while visiting lorado.

Her remains were handled by the now shuttered Sunset Funeral Home and Crematorium.

Kayla Lyons got a call from the FBI Thursday alerting her that her mother’s were likely sold.  She was asked if she had signed off on any paperwork permitting the sale.

Lysons told WFAA-TV “absolutely not.” She said that she buried what was thought to be her mother’s remains at the family plot in Oklahoma.
