ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Allen police are investigating the theft of more than a dozen storm grates.
A handful of the heavy pieces of iron were taken from the ground at several locations across the city earlier this week.
In a Facebook post, police said the lack of grates could cause a safety hazard for drivers and pedestrians.
The grates will cost the city thousands of dollars to replace.
Police are asking residents to contact them immediately if they notice any suspicious behavior around grates that are still in the ground.
