North Texas Insurer and Health Provider Giant Reach Agreement

RICHARDSON(WBAP/KLIF)- Over 185,000 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas members can breathe a sigh of relief.

That after Texas Health Resources and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas reached a midnight agreement for a new provider insurer contract on early Sunday according to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Chris Callahan.

“We had a contract that expired on March 31 and the negotiations right up to the expiration date.”

Without an agreement members would have paid higher out of network costs or have to look for new providers. the new contract runs through 2022.
