Arlington, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Heavy traffic is expected today near Globe Life Park in Arlingon as fans pack the stadium for Opening Day as the Texas Rangers take on the Houston Astros at 2:35pm.
Fans are being told to leave lots of extra time to navigate construction delays and parking lot closures.
The Rangers are excited to undergo the construction of Globe Life Field, opening in 2020. This construction work will necessitate road closures and lot closures. Please be aware of these recent changes:
- Corolla Parking Lot C and Camry Parking Lot D are reserved for season ticket holders only
- Cash parking south of Globe Life Park in Arlington is available in Tacoma Parking Lot R at the corner of Sanford St. and Stadium Drive
- The majority of Tundra Parking Lot B is closed with the exception of the northeast quadrant at the corner of Randol Mill Road and Stadium Drive
- Tundra Parking Lot B will be available only through entrance B2 on Stadium Drive
- Nolan Ryan Expressway is closed from south of Randol Mill Road to Cowboys Way
- Lexus Valet parking will still be available at parking lot entrance B1 on Randol Mill Road
