DALLAS, TX (WBAP/KLIF/News) – A former state champion quarterback will comeback to lead his team….this time as head coach. Southlake Carroll High School has reportedly offered the job to Riley Dodge.
The 29 year old dodge is the son of former coach Todd Dodge and led the Dragons to a state title in 2006. He has since been an assistant coach at Northwest High School, Flower Mound Marcus and at the collegiate level at UNT. Dodge is expected to be announced as the new head coach at tonight’s school board meeting.
WFAA TV’s Mike Leslie first reported the possible announcement on Friday.
Riley Dodge replaces his former football coach Hal Wasson, who left the program after an internal investigation, and is now the athletic director for the Irving School District.
