FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Frisco man is in jail on federal charges stemming from a murder-for-hire plot that involved his former business partner, a gas station and a kidnapping.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 69-year-old Eskandar Molavi allegedly asked a man who he thought was a pilot for a Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization about kidnapping his former business partner and forcing him to sign over a gas station that Molavi lost in civil court.
Investigators said Molavi told the man if the partner didn’t agree, he wanted him flown to Mexico and killed.
A meeting was arranged between Molavi and a person called “Iceman” who would supposedly carry out the crime. What Molavi didn’t count on was that “Iceman” was a Federal Agent.
Investigators said Molavi and “Iceman” met in Dallas last Tuesday, where Molavi agreed to pay the agent $20,000 to carry out the plan. He allegedly provided “Iceman” with his former partner’s home and business address as well as the location of the school that the would-be victim’s daughter attended.
The agent told Molavi that the price for murder was $50,000. After the meeting, investigators said Molavi asked the individual who set up the meeting if he would be able to get him a gun and silencer in the event that “Iceman” could convince his former partner to sign over the business.
Molavi is charged with one count of solicitation of kidnapping and one count of attempted kidnapping.
