(WBAP/KLIF) – A month after the Florida school shooting, high school students across the country held school walkouts Wednesday to advocate for change.
Several schools in North Texas planned walk-ins instead of walkouts because of the spring break holiday. Students at Coppell High School say the #Enough movement is overdue and are calling for more gun control and improved school safety.
“Now that we are taking action now is crazy because school shootings have been going on for a while now,” said Tochi Ugwelbo. “Honestly it should be harder to get a hold of guns.”
Students said they will continue to bring awareness to gun violence with a march on Washington later this month and another walkout planned for April.
