Dallas, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Over a dozen Northwest Texas teachers recently added pistol training to their resumes.
The training was organized by Tim Bulot, a sergeant with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, and owner of Strategic Weapons Academy of Texas in Ennins.
The academy typically does firearms training for SWAT teams, police officers and overseas contractors, but after the Stoneman Douglas School massacre in Florida, Bulot and his wife – a former police officer – felt compelled to “do something.”
The course was meant as a one-time only event, but due to overwhelming demand, Bulot has scheduled another one for April 7th.
Registration for the course which will accommodate 30 people can be done at weaponsacademy.com.
