Addison (WBAP/KLIF) – A single-engine private plane crashed this weekend at Addison Municipal Airport. The plane reportedly had just lifted off on some kind of training flight when the pilot turned around, and tried to land. He couldn’t make it. His plane slammed into the ground, nose first, short of the runway. It’s a crumpled ball of wreckage. The two people aboard were injured, and rushed to a local hospital. Federal authorities are investigating, but it may be some time before they determine the cause of the accident.
