Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A proposed high-speed rail line from Dallas to Houston is moving forward.
During a meeting of the Regional Transportation Commission Thursday in Arlington, plans were unveiled for a connector route did not include the City of Arlingont.
Dallas officials said that no city should be included unless they are a member of DART; Arlington belongs neither to DART nor the Fort Worth Transit Authority.
The connector route discussed was south from Fort Worth to Waco, Temple-Killeen, Austin, San Antonio and Loredo.
In reaction, Arlington’s mayor said, We certanily want to be a regional player and part of the regional transit authority
