DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Police Department hosted a school violence exercise Friday with three local school districts and Officers from multiple departments.
Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief Scott Walton said that the exercise gave first responders and school districts the opportunity to evaluate their policies and procedures in a series of simulated emergencies.
“We have to make sure that we know what the other is doing and what the expectations are,” said Deputy Chief Walton.
Officers and administrators evaluated current plans, policies and procedures for emergency events for Dallas public safety agencies, and the Dallas, Plano and Richardson Independent School Districts.
DPD plans to meet with more agencies and school districts.
