DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas’ Fair Park will be invaded with a Sea of Green as the 36th Annual North Texas Irish Festival gets underway Friday night.
Over 600 volunteers make the annual event in Dallas reality.
Sheri Bush is with the Southwest Celtic Music Association that organizes the festival.
“We’ve got 16 stages, about 40 bands, all different kinds of musical influences from folk a little rock and roll here and there,” Bush said.
Besides music there will also be dancing, storytellers and even animal rescue groups.
“Lots of food, drink, crafts, vendors, kids and dogs,” Bush said. “We’ve got everything.”
The festival runs from 6:00pm until 11:00pm Friday; 10:30am until 11:30pm Saturday; and 11:30am until 7:30pm Sunday.
Pet owners are welcome to bring their dogs to the festival for a $1 donation.
