DALLAS (KLIF/WBAP) — A new social media platform is aiming to take the place of Instagram in your daily routine.
It’s called “Vero,” and the developer says it’s similar to IG, but has several key differences.
First, Vero says it’ll never prioritize posts or organize someone’s feed using an algorithm. That way, they say you can avoid seeing the same posters over and over.
Vero also says that unlike Instagram, they will never sell ads. They say they’ll cover operating and developing costs by charging a small monthly fee. But, if you’re lucky enough to be one of the first million people to join, your subscription will remain free.
Producer Robyn Geske joined Dave this morning to talk about the pros and cons of Vero.
