PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – Heavy rains are causing some sanitary overflow in North Texas.

The Trinity River Authority and the City of Plano have each reported overflow of more than 100,000 gallons of water.

Vanessa Joseph is with the Trinity River Authority and said this situation is actually common.

“These are things that will typically happen and its certain a possibility when we’ve had heavy rains…and we’ve had the heavy rains,” she said.

Both organizations said no aquatic life nor drinking water is being affected.
