CORINTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Lake Dallas student that posted a photo of himself holding a rifle has been removed from campus for the rest of the school year.
According to the Corinth Police Department’s Facebook page, the original photo that was uploaded to Snapchat was edited by an unknown individual.
A banner was placed across the picture with the statement “LD School Shooter.”
The department said although the scenario is disturbing to some, the original photo posted does not violate any laws.
Investigators determined the student made no threat verbally or in writing to any student or staff members.
Police are still investigating who edited the photo.
