Survivor of Shooting Shares Story of Hope, Change for Gun Violence

PARKLAND, FL (KLIF / WBAP) — Last Wednesday was a normal day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Boward County, Florida.

That is, police say, until a 19 year old former student opened fire, killing 17 students and faculty members.

The victims range in age from 14 to 49 years old. They were friends, classmates and colleagues, and are being called heroes by those who knew them

One of the teachers there that day, Sarah Lerner, says the community in Parkland is struggling to find a way through the heartache

She shared her story with Dave and Amy
