Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police have arrested an angry vandal who apparently really doesn’t like police cars. He was caught early Sunday morning in the central patrol parking lot on Chestnut Street where he had reportedly used a sledgehammer to beat in a dozen marked police squad cars. He was arrested and taken to jail. No word yet on why he was so angry with the cars.
58-year old Gregory Simpson was charged with criminal mischief.
The inicident was just another in a string of attacks on police buildings.
Dallas Police Association President Michael Mata says the city needs to step up and install fencing around all seven police stations to increase security and protect officers. Mata told WFAA-TV bond funding for the project has already been approved.
