Net Neutrality Explained in Burger King Ad

DALLAS (KLIF/WBAP) — Burger King is calling out the Federal Communications Commission, and the repeal of net neutrality, in a new ad that’s going viral.

On Wednesday, the fast food giant published a spot on its Twitter, YouTube and Instagram pages.

In it, workers tell somewhat confused customers that their Whoppers would be ready in accordance with how much they pay.

For example, “slow MBPS” would cost customers $4.99, whereas “hyperfast MBPS” costs $25.99. (MBPS stands for Making Burgers Per Second.)

The ad quickly went viral, being viewed and shared five million times.

Dave and Amy talked about the advertising gimmick on the Morning Drive.
