DALLAS (KLIF/WBAP) – Apple’s CEO says the company is looking to expand to a second headquarters, following other tech companies like Amazon and Google.
On Wednesday, he announced the second hub will be built somewhere in North America, and will eventually employ about 20,000 people.
The company expects to invest $350 billion during the next five years in taxes, building projects and personnel.
What you may not know is some of that money is already in North Texas. Finisar Corporation, based in Allen, is expanding a partnership with Apple to build parts for the iPhone X.
Robyn Geske joined the Morning Drive to talk about what that means for our economic future.
