McKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – McKinney-based Independent Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday to begin construction on its new corporate headquarters at the McKinney Corporate Center Craig Ranch, bringing up to 400 new jobs to the city during the next five years.

KDC will begin construction immediately and pursue LEED Silver certification on the approximately 165,000-square-foot, six-story building. The architect for the project is SmithGroupJJR and Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LTD will serve as the general contractor.
