McKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – McKinney-based Independent Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday to begin construction on its new corporate headquarters at the McKinney Corporate Center Craig Ranch, bringing up to 400 new jobs to the city during the next five years.
“I appreciate Independent Bank’s decades-long commitment to McKinney as well as their confidence in our community with their decision to continue their growth and expansion in McKinney,” said Mayor George Fuller. “This is an exciting day not only for the City of McKinney, but also for the McKinney Corporate Center Craig Ranch as we continue to attract top-notch employers to this area.”
KDC will begin construction immediately and pursue LEED Silver certification on the approximately 165,000-square-foot, six-story building. The architect for the project is SmithGroupJJR and Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LTD will serve as the general contractor.
Independent Bank has offices located throughout Texas and Colorado. Recently, the bank was named a Community Bankers Cup winner for the fifth consecutive year, a Top 75 Producing Lender Nationwide and a Top 50 Performer by the Dallas Business Journal.
