DALLAS [WBAP/KLIF News] — If you’ve eaten at a Jason’s Deli lately you should check your credit card records. 164 Jason’s Deli locations may have been hit by a data breach and as many as two million credit and debit card numbers may have been stolen.
A news release from the company headquarters in Beaumont, Texas, said malware was placed on point-of-sale devices and then the private data was listed for sale on the dark web since June 8, 2017. The stolen information from each card affected includes the cardholder’s first and last names, the card number and the expiration date. The information came from the magnetic data stripe on the cards and did not include the three and four digit verification code numbers.
If you find any unauthorized transactions on your credit or debit cards you are urged to contact your card provider first and then Jason’s Deli at [email protected], or by phoning 409-838-1976.
