
Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – This cool January morning will give way to plunging temps and wind chills beginning at midday today. A strong front will cause temps to tumble to the 30s and 40s by late afternoon into evening. The strongest wind chills will be in the 20s; some places it’ll feel like the teens by evening.
There’s a chance of some light sleet or snow across parts of North Texas from DFW to the north.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. for DFW and locations to the north up to the Red River.
Light accumulations are possible — mainly from northern DFW up to the Red River (Northern Tarrant, Northern Parer, Denton, Wise, Montague, and Grayson Counties. Totals up to around an inch will be be possible.
