DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Dallas Bureau said Wednesday that a number of North Texas 7-Eleven stores were targeted in a national crackdown. Six of the 100 stores visited by I.C.E.agents nationwide are in the D-F-W metroplex.
“Based on our investigation those are the stores we selected,” said I.C.E. Communications Director, Carl Rusnok.
The stores were served with paperwork requiring I-9 forms to prove employees are legally working in the United States.
“This is an administrative process,” said Rusnok. “What we were doing is serving what is known as notices of inspection.”
No arrests were made at any of the DFW area stores. Rusnok says the stores were targeted based on information learned during an investigation.
