A Second Arrest Made in Shooting Death of Plano Teen

Irving, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Irving police have charged 19-year old Areaon McDade with capital murder in the death of a 17-year old from Plano in what’s described as a drug deal gone bad.

Police say 17-year old Brett Adkins had driven to Plano on Christmas Eve “to conduct a marijuana sale” when a fight broke out.  One of the suspects pulled a gun and Adkins was shot in the chest.

Another suspect, 18-year old DeMarcus Williams was arrested last week.

Adkins was the son of prominent local car dealer Bill Adkins.
