IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – Irving police continue a search for two suspects in connection with the shooting death of a plano teen Sunday night.
17-year old Brett Adkins was killed in an apparent drug deal gon bad. Police say he drove to Irving for a drug sale when a fight broke out. One of two suspects fired a weapon, striking Adkins.
The teen was the son of a local business man who owns car dealerships in McKinney, Dallas and Mesquite.
Multiple Twitter users remembered Adkins as a fun, outgoing friend:

IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – Police are investigating a Christmas Eve homicide that took the life of a 17-year-old boy.
According to an Irving Police press release, the victim, identified as Brett Adkins of Plano, drove to Irving to conduct a marijuana sale shortly before 9:00 PM. During the exchange, one suspect produced a gun. A fight ensued, and a single shot was fired, striking Adkins in the chest. He later died at a Baylor Hospital in Grapevine.
Police say two suspects fled on foot and are still at large.
