Denton County Burn Ban

 

(WBAP/KLIF) Denton County has placed the “Burn Ban” in effect. The ban is to maintain the amount of controlled burning that is done by Denton County residents. Roland Asebedo, with the Denton County Emergency Services and Fire Marshal Assistant Chief says: “Each day the Denton County Emergency Services post on their website as to whether it is a designated burn day or not.” A few items that are acceptable to burn on certified “Burn Days” are brush, yard trimmings, timber and untreated lumber are acceptable items to burn. Items that are unacceptable include: tires, plastics, carpet, electrical wire, paints, furniture, and appliances.
