DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Republican leaders in Washington are pushing to pass tax reform before the end of the year while activists are caroling about what they’re calling potential downfalls of the bill.
A group of protesters gathered outside of Senator John Cornyn’s Dallas Office, Monday with altered lyrics to Holiday classics. Many activists said the bill would only benefit the wealthy.
“This is not the merriest Christmas of my life,” said one woman at the protest. “I am really concerned about how I am going to raise my child if this passes.”
Proponents of the bill say its intended to create jobs and spur investment. The Bill could be voted on as early as this week.
