Hundreds of Cattle Rescued From Neglect

Sulphur Springs (WBAP/KLIF) –  More than 600 head of cattle were rescued from neglect near Sulphur Springs.  According to the SPCA of Texas, the animals did not have access to appropriate food and water and were emaciated.  The animals were found on six different properties.  It took 5 days to rescue all the animals and move them to a safe location. Several were found dead on the scene and 7 more had to be euthanized.  The owner of the animals was arrested and charged with felony cruelty to livestock animals.
