Dallas Police Urge Community Awareness Following Uptown Assault

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Dallas Police Department is asking Uptown residents to be on high alert following an assault over the weekend.

Investigators said a woman was walking along Cole Avenue near Cedar Springs Boulevard around 2:30 Sunday morning when a man approached her, pushed her into a stairwell of an apartment complex and assaulted her.

After the assault, the suspect took off on foot.

Police said the suspect is a 5’10” light-skinned Hispanic man.

The department is asking people who live in the area to be on the lookout for anyone who matches this description and appears to be suspicious.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
