DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) — Former Today Show host Matt Lauer issued a statement Thursday, about 24 hours after being fired from the show.
In it, Lauer apologized to family, friends and coworkers, and said the allegations of sexual misconduct had “enough” truth to them to prompt Lauer to re-examine his life.
Lauer said he would dedicate his time and effort to rehabilitating his image.
We wondered just how much time and effort that would take. Can his image even be saved at all?
And will the controversy affect viewership of the decades-old news program? What’s next for the Today Show?
Pop Culture Ambassador Dr. Robert Thompson, from Syracuse, has his take on the scandal. He talked about it on The Morning Drive w/Dave and Amy.
