Arlington Police Officer Shot While Serving Warrant

ARLINGTON  (WBAP/KLIF News) – An Arlington police officer was shot while serving a warrant Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred after 4 p.m. in the 4300 block of Kelly Hill Road near Green Oaks Boulevard.

The Arlington Police Department’s Lieutenant Christopher Cook said a second officer was injured during the altercation and SWAT was called in.

The officer that was shot was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital. He is expected to recover from his injury. After a five hour standoff while police used a robot to make sure there was no one else in the home, the suspects body was found near a doorway.Three other people in the house where the shooting occurred, have been taken into custody.
