Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The state-of-the-art recycling facility the city of Dallas opened in January has now been named the best in North America. The award was presented to Dallas’ Material Recovery Facility by the National Waste and Recycling Association. It can handle as much as 40 tons of “stuff” an hour, which the Recycling Association says means it could recycle the entire Statue of Liberty in just 5 days.
