Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Early voting begins Monday in an election ordered by the legislature that will decide the fate of a controversial school bus company. Dallas County Schools, which despite the name doesn’t operate schools but school buses, could be abolished by voters. If that happens the operation of school buses in Dallas County will return to the county’s various school districts. In its defense, Dallas County Schools insists it has fixed the repeated scandals that have rocked it for several years including financial irregularities, poor service, and badly trained school bus drivers. The issue is paired with a city of Dallas bond proposal, and the actual election date is November 7.
