Hundreds of Safe Deposit Boxes Flooded During Harvey

HOUSTON(WBAP/KLIF News) – Hundreds of safe deposit boxes were anything but safe, after Hurricane Harvey flooded the Houston area.

Chase Bank announced this week that over 400 safe deposit boxes flooded at various branches across Houston. The company says they’re offering free ultrasonic cleaning machines and cleaning solutions to help salvage coins and jewelry.

The bank is also reimbursing customers for the cost of replacing important documents, such as passports and birth certificates.
