GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF News) – The owner of a gun store in Garland said the shooter in the Las Vegas Massacre bought guns from his store.
64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire at a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday night, killing 59 people and wounding 527 others.
Paul Peddle said Paddock bought firearms from B & S Guns in 2010 and 2011. He also came into the store last year with questions for the gunsmith’s but didn’t buy anything.
“He purchased pistols, more of collector’s pistols. His last purchase was a 5-7. That’s a very high-end rifle cartridge in a pistol form,” he said.
Peddle said he got the impression Paddock was a collector because of how much money he spent on his guns.
Authorities working the Las Vegas massacre said it seems as if Paddock meticulously planned the killings but and they’re working hard to find a motive.
Peddle remembers Paddock as a man who kept to himself.
“Extremely quiet. His questions were very pertinent. More about dynamics of the rifles, the AR’s in particular, the functionality and that was it,” he said.
Paddock was found dead in his hotel room with an arsenal of weapons after the shooting.
