Cowboys Hall of Fame Player Weighs In On Kneeling Debate

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF)  Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith says his former team made an effort to support all the NFL players by taking a knee before the National Anthem Monday night, but he still thinks the team was on the fence.

In an interview on HOT 93.3, Smith says if you’re protesting, you pick a side, and the Cowboys didn’t do that.  He says he was proud to see Jerry Jones out on the field.

As for him, if he was still playing, he says he would go along with whatever his teammates were doing because there is no ‘I’ in team.  Smith adds protesting may not create change, but at least it brings attention to the issue.
