Longhorn with A World Record sold in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Longhorn Bull with a World Record sold for a big amount at the auction block in Fort Worth on Friday.

Cowboy Tuff Chex is the bulls name and he went for a total of $165,000 to new owners: Richard and Jeanne Filip.  They’re both longhorn enthusiasts who breed on their ranch in Fayetteville, Texas.

Because of his horns, Cowboy Tuff Chex was highly sought after. His horns measure more than 100 inches in length from tip-to-tip & are certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest horns in the world. Cowboy Tuff Chex is 7 years old, and breeders say he will be productive for many more years.
