Another court rules Texas’ election district maps are intentionally discriminatory

San Antonio (WBAP/KLIF) – For the third time in nine days a court has ruled against the state of Texas in an election related dispute. This time a federal court in San Antonio found parts of the state’s election district maps are intentionally discriminatory. It ordered the re-drawing of several districts in both Dallas and Tarrant counties. Those maps were first drawn in 2011, then re-drawn in 2013 when another court found them discriminatory. The 2013 election maps are the ones now in use. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says the state will appeal.
