Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – The Denton County Sheriff reports a jail inmate died in her cell Tuesday morning. 30 year old Stormye Murphy was arrested on an assault charge Sunday. She was taken to a Denton hospital Monday for treatment of an unidentified “medical episode;” then confined, alone, in a cell in the Denton County Jail’s medical unit. She was dead in that cell when checked just before noon Tuesday. The cause of her death has not yet been announced.
