Dallas Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliott Officially Appeals Suspension

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott filed an appeal on Tuesday to the six-game suspension handed down by the National Football League last week.

The league said Elliott violated the personal conduct policy after it investigated claims of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend. Elliot denied the charges and no criminal charges were ever brought in the case.

Elliott’s appeal must be held within ten days from Tuesday’s filing.

His attorneys are reportedly planning to pick apart the credibility of his alleged victim during the appeal hearing.

Last week, his attorney released a statement that said the NFL did not accurately weigh that factor and accused the league of “cherry picking” evidence.

If his full suspension is upheld, it would start September 2nd.
