Agency that Operates Dallas School Buses Will Call for an Election

(WBAP/KLIF) – The agency that operates Dallas’ school buses is preparing to call for an election that might put itself out of business. Dallas County Schools has been controversial and criticized for some time. It says it’s turned all that around, but the Legislature insists it call an election to give voters the chance to decide its future. Dallas County Schools told DISD trustees Thursday it has fixed all its problems, and is now transparent and trustworthy with stable leadership. However, it also says it has 200 fewer school bus drivers than it’s going to need when school starts August 28.
