Dallas (WBASP/KLIF) – A demonstration Thursday night calling for the removal of downtown Dallas’ Confederate War Memorial turned into a shouting match when counter-demonstrators interrupted. A few dozen demonstrators had gathered at Pioneer Park Cemetery to call for the removal of what they say is nothing but a monument to racism. They were countered by eight protestors who oppose any tampering with Confederate monuments. The two sides shouted at each other for a while while police stood by, but in the end they all dispersed peacefully.
